Shree Dakshinamurthy Sadhana

Guru Sadhana

Śrī Dakṣiṇāmūrti Sādhanā is a deep‑rooted, contemplative spiritual discipline devoted to Lord Dakṣiṇāmūrti, the supreme teacher (Guru) of all beings, representing the silent, inward‑turning aspect of Lord Śiva who reveals inner wisdom, self‑realization, and the direct insight (pratyakṣa jñāna) into the nature of consciousness.

In the Saiva and Vedāntic tradition, Dakṣiṇāmūrti is worshipped as the complete Guru — the teacher beyond words, doctrines, and intellectual grasp. Rather than granting external boons, His grace awakens the sādhaka to the ultimate truth: “Aham Brahmāsmi” (I am Brahman) and dissolves ignorance (avidyā), confusion (moha), and the sense of separateness from the divine Self.

This sādhanā involves mantra recitation, meditation, contemplation on silence, and inner surrender, aimed at liberating the mind from dualistic notions, enhancing discernment (viveka), and revealing non‑dual wisdom (advaita). Rather than worldly success, it yields clarity of Self, mental mastery, and genuine spiritual insight.
